Evergreen State Fair Lost Person and Safety Wristband Booths

Expired

Description

MRC volunteers are needed to staff the lost person and safety wristband booths at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe.

As part of a disaster response effort, MRC volunteers may be stationed at an assistance/reunification center. This community outreach opportunity serves as a real-world exercise in reunification which volunteers could be asked to do a part of a response effort. This year we will be working with CERT teams from around Snohomish County to staff the booths and get to know one another.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist fairgoers by taking reports of lost persons.
  • Coordinate with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office and Fair Security to help reunite families and groups.
  • Distribute free safety ID wristbands and educate the public on their use — helping attendees write a contact name and phone number on each wristband to minimize separation time.
  • Provide reassurance and support during moments of stress or confusion.

Why Volunteer?

  • Gain valuable experience in emergency communication and public safety procedures.
  • Make a meaningful impact on the well-being of your community.
  • Enjoy the fair! Volunteers receive a free fair entrance ticket and parking pass for each day you volunteer — explore the Evergreen State Fair before or after your shift!
